Why GLOW Was Canceled After Three Seasons

The 1980s-set comedy GLOW tells a riveting story of female wrestlers, but Netflix canceled the popular series prior to season 4. The show followed former friends Debbie Eagan (Betty Gilpin) and Ruth Wilder (Alison Brie) as they joined the Gorgeous Ladies of Wrestling — which really did exist — and came to terms with their dramatic past when Debbie's husband, Mark (Rich Summer), was unfaithful with Ruth. The characters found empowerment and confidence while interacting with their manager, Sam Sylvia (Marc Maron).
