Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania writer Jeff Loveness reveals the movie almost gave Michelle Pfeiffer's Janet van Dyne the powers of another Marvel Cinematic Universe character. The ending to the Ant-Man trilogy in the MCU had Janet in a very important role, as the character was the only one who knew about the threat to the multiverse that was Jonathan Majors' Kang the Conqueror. The characters had spent an unspecified amount of time together in the MCU's Quantum Realm before falling out, and that fight would have been the precursor for the movie to give Janet powers.
