The Last of Us 2 Star Eager For HBO Casting, But Not Game Character

With a cast of fresh and familiar faces, Patrick Fugit says he's eager to join HBO's The Last of Us, though not as his Last of Us Part II character. Fugit starred in the 2020 Naughty Dog sequel game as Owen, a member of the Washington Liberation Front and the ex-boyfriend to Abby, Ellie's antagonist and the daughter of the Firefly surgeon Joel killed at the end of the original game. The Last of Us season 1 largely adapted the events of the original games and brought back many key actors, with season 2 expected to adapt the sequel.
