An unused concept by George Lucas for Star Wars: Episode III - Revenge of the Sith helps explain the recent redemption the Tusken Raiders have seen in Star Wars. The Tusken Raiders are a race native to Tatooine that have existed since the first installment in the franchise in 1977. Since then, the Tuskens have become staples in other projects, such as Star Wars: Episode I - The Phantom Menace and Star Wars: Episode II - Attack of the Clones.
