The animated Max series tells the story of a young Sam Wing as he first meets the adorable Gizmo and is set in 1920s China. Despite the gap in time between the original films and now, Gremlins: Secrets of the Mogwai captures the unique tone of the original in part thanks to executive producers Steven Spielberg and original film director Joe Dante.
