How Long Will Shuri Be Black Panther?

Shuri became the new Black Panther in Phase 4's Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, setting up a huge role for her in the MCU's future. The late Chadwick Boseman debuted as T'Challa, a.k.a. the Black Panther, in 2016's Captain America: Civil War, quickly becoming one of the MCU's most popular heroes. However, following Boseman's tragic 2020 passing, Ryan Coogler's Black Panther sequel also featured the death of T'Challa to an unknown illness, leaving the nation of Wakanda without its King or its protector. Letitia Wright's Shuri was gifted a larger role in Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, but it's unclear how permanent her new superhero position will be.
