The recently-released Batman: The Adventures Continue: Season Three #5 reveals the backstory and fate of Straightman, revealing him to be a veteran cruelly manipulated by Hugo Strange. In many ways, Straightman is DC's answer to Captain America - at least, one co-opted by the Joker.
