The Dirt Cast & Character Guide

Netflix's The Dirt features a number of actors portraying real-life rock stars, including members of Mötley Crüe and other heavy metal icons, and some of the cast are actual musicians themselves. Based on Mötley Crüe's collective autobiography (co-authored by Neil Strauss), The Dirt incorporates many true facts from the band's unbelievable story. The movie is appropriately helmed by Jackass co-creator Jeff Tremaine, who is no stranger to filming chaotic pranks. When its narrative is not exploring Mötley Crüe's rise to fame, The Dirt is filled with the band’s infamous on-stage and backstage antics. At the same time, it also highlights their family troubles and struggles with drug addiction.
