The shock cancelation of Star Trek: Prodigy means that Star Trek: Voyager's Ensign Harry Kim (Garrett Wang) will have to wait even longer for his promotion. The controversial decision by Paramount+ to cancel Star Trek: Prodigy season 2 and delete the show from the service has rightly caused an outcry on social media. An underrated gem of a Star Trek show, Prodigy was also a stealth sequel to Star Trek: Voyager as it updated the stories of Captain Kathryn Janeway (Kate Mulgrew) and Commander Chakotay (Robert Beltran) by promoting them to Vice Admiral and Captain, respectively.
