The Boys Spinoff Hints The Main Show Will Copy Part Of Its Comic Ending

Details surrounding Gen V suggest The Boys will follow the ending of the comic book series on which the universe is based. Prime Video's raunchy superhero series The Boys is based on Garth Ennis and Darick Robertson's comic series of the same name. Both iterations of The Boys follow Hughie Campbell and Billy Butcher as they seek revenge on The Seven. Backed by the powerful company Vought International, The Seven are a corrupt organization of superheroes — known in-universe as "supes" — with a dangerous amount of political sway. With Antony Starr's Homelander at the helm, they're downright villainous. In fact, Homelander is such a threat that both the books and TV series build to a showdown between him and "The Boys" team.
