Jurassic Park was recently re-released in theaters, and it ended up beating the combined total of The Super Mario Bros. Movie and The Little Mermaid at the box office. Directed by Steven Spielberg, Jurassic Park was released in 1993, spawning a successful franchise that now consists of six feature films. Spielberg's original movie remains not only the best entry in the franchise, but one of the most important blockbuster movies ever made.
