The Continental director Albert Hughes reveals that he was not informed about Charon's fate in John Wick: Chapter 4 prior to filming. Set in the 1970s, the prequel series follows a young Winston Scott as he gets involved in New York City's dangerous underground world. Fans of the John Wick franchise are familiar with Charon, played by the late Lance Reddick, the hotel's concierge who maintained a close relationship with both Winston and John. He is portrayed by Ayomide Adegun in the prequel show, and other members of The Continental's cast include Mel Gibson, Colin Woodell, Ben Robson, Nhung Kate, and Peter Greene.
