Quirrell's Sorcerer's Stone Casting Almost Ruined Harry Potter & The Prisoner Of Azkaban

Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone had the tough job of casting the beloved Harry Potter book characters for the first time, and these decisions had a major impact on Warner Bros' future movie installments. This was especially true for the adult characters of the series. The movies just wouldn't have been the same if Maggie Smith hadn't been cast as Minerva McGonagall or if Alan Rickman had never been Severus Snape. All these years later, it's difficult to separate these characters from the talent that brought them to life, so it's interesting to think about what would have happened if their actors had gotten different parts in Harry Potter.
