The Acolyte is set during the High Republic era, 100 years before the first chronological Star Wars movie. As such, it offers a lot of details that inform the story of Lucas' prequel trilogy, from exploring the slow decline of the Jedi Order to the infiltration of the Sith in the galaxy at large.
