Ever since the first Green Lantern was introduced, all power ring wearers have been the most versatile fighters in the DC Universe. The ability to create any possible weapon or tool out of hard light is only limited to the ring wearer's creativity and power of will. Heroes like Hal Jordan, John Stewart, and Kyle Rayner are able to summon vehicles, melee and ranged weapons, and moving creatures, as well as objects like maps, screens, shields, cages, and medical braces.
